Transforming Germany - reaching the nations!

Who are we?

We are an international and interdenominational Christian community of missionaries.

We live in a Castle in Hurlach (Upper Bavaria), which was purchased by YWAM in 1972 to house 1000 missionaries who were serving through evangelistic activities at the Olympic Games in Munich (1972).

Since then, the 400-year-old castle has been used mainly for training purposes and as a basis for evangelistic missions in Germany and worldwide.

The Hurlach Castle was the second base founded by the international mission organization YWAM. At the same time, it is the first base that was founded by YWAM in Germany.

Currently, between 40 to 50 staff are part of our castle community.

What’s our goal?

“Transforming Germany - reaching the Nations!”

We aim to:

  • reach the nations and generations with the Gospel
  • help young people to take their place in the kingdom of God
  • equip them to shape society according to biblical principles

What do we offer?

For these reasons, special emphasis is placed on the training and education of Christians to equip them for their ministry and calling.

We host a wide range of training courses and seminars, and offer a variety of schools within our community:

  • the Discipleship Training School (DTS)
  • the Discipleship Bible School (DBS)
  • the School for Foundations in Counseling Ministry (FCM)
